Executive Job Descriptions

We’re always looking for good people to serve on the Executive.    To be on the Executive, you need to be a member of the Society in good standing and be voted into the position at an Annual General Meeting of the Society.   The Executive is also able to appoint people to vacant positions between AGMs.

President

The President is fully informed on organizational matters and participates in the Board’s deliberations and decisions in matters of policy, finance, program and advocacy and acts as spokesperson for the Elk Island Logos Society.

Vice President

The Vice President is fully informed on organizational matters and participates in the Board’s deliberations and decisions.   In the absence of the President, the Vice President exercises all the powers and prerogatives of the President.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is fully informed on organizational matters and participates in the Board’s deliberations and decisions.   The Treasurer oversees all the financial operations of the Society.  Experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset.

Secretary

The Secretary is fully informed on organizational matters and participates in the Board’s deliberations and decisions.  The Secretary maintains the Society’s organizational records.

Experience with Microsoft 365 is an asset.

Director

In addition to the named positions above, the Board may have up to five (5) additional Directors.   A portfolio will be assigned to the director based on their passions and skill set.

Director Job Description

School Representitive.

Serve as the liaison between the school, the school’s Parent Council, and the Board. They will be the school Administration’s and the Parent Council’s main contact person for all Society related details.
