The Logos Christian Alternative program was the first Christan program in the Elk Island Public School system.   For over 25 years our faith-based, non-denominational Christian approach to learning allows students to apply Christian morals, values and beliefs into all areas of study.  We do not have our own separate school, but maintain our Christian Alternative program in public schools alongside students from the communities we live in.

Our philosophy of Christian Education differs slightly from a traditional Christian school in that we see this integration into the local school as an opportunity to not only be a community within a community, but allows us a greater perspective on spiritual formation in our world.  Our mission is to assist families in their children’s spiritual growth by providing an educational environment with a Christ-centered focus.

Like all of the Christian Alternative programs within EIPS, Logos classes follow the regular provincial curricula interpreted through an evangelical Christian worldview.   As a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, we are constantly trying to improve our understanding and delivery of this perspective in an ever changing world.
